Here’s the under outfit for my steam punk outfit, I’m not satisfied with it I want more from it I think I want to change the top to a knit fabric and a different style top. I don’t feel its steampunk sky captainy enough the coat I posted before is the over part for it and I will be getting some kick as boots for the shoot, I also have wonderful goggles that I got from ~Shendorion, and I will be making a dark brown leather belt to go with.

I want to know what everyone thinks ?????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please help me out

I can't write an official critique as I don't have the correct membership but I can say that the pants look perfect, they give off an almost civil war era captain air, but the shirt seems a little too flouncy, more lady like and almost whoreish or 'well to do ladies under wear' rather then the strong sense that your coat does.

If you changed the shirt I believe it'd solve your problems as it seems to be the only part to me that stands out.

HIGH WAISTED PANTS! XD We'd always complain about making high waisted pant mockups at school because no one wanted to wear them. But these are cute. ;) I really like the stripe down the legs too. How is the closure in the back?

I think whats throwing me a little is the rugged look of the pants in comparison to the shininess of the top. I'd love to see a pic of it all together, because I really like the look of both of these garments, but am not seeing them tied together.

The clothes look fantastic but a little bare. The pants definitely need a belt with some pouches, a pair of boots and some more affects to complete the look.

I believe the problem we're seeing with the top is because it's sleeveless, collarless and loose; and the pants are so high, long and, tight it distorts the figure. If you perhaps change the shirt to one with sleeves (frilly perhaps?) and maybe a collar and add some suspenders, a girdle, or a corset would help pull of the sky captainy look. :)

yeah Im working on something right now and I'm excited to see how it turns out, Ive got a over leather corset crop top thing and a knit key hole front sleeve less top with a belt should be good
